Greetings! Family Light is very excited to be entering into 2026! This year will bring the expansion of services and our service reach.

One of these big changes is the establishment and implementation of required service fees. All professional lead services will now require the payment of fees to participate. These fees will cover the cost of necessities for the service and will help establish a pool of funds that will be utilize to serve the community and meet the mission and vision of Family Light.

 

We will continue to encourage parent facilitators to step up and volunteer in leading peer lead support groups that will remain free to attend. However, we will be expanding to offer professional lead groups that will offer a curriculum and accountability aspects that peer lead groups do not.

All available services and fees are already posted on our website and available for viewing in preparation for the January 1st implementation.

As we want to make sure no one is kept from receiving our services due to financial barriers, Family Light will be collecting donations and establishing a scholarship fund. Parents and families who do not have another way to cover fees, will have the option of applying for a partial or full scholarship through Family Light. Funds will be awarded based on completion of a qualifying application and availability of funds.

That leads us to our BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! Family Light will be launching various Outreach Missions throughout the year starting with our Foster Care Meal Missions which offers "kinship" families receiving an emergency placement the opportunity to receive some freezer meals to help ease the sudden and unexpected transition of welcoming a new child to their home. ​​​​
